What I love about Italian wines is there’s always another wine to taste! Italy has recognized over 350 native grapes with another 500 varietals not classified.
The grapes of Greco and Fiano are often associated with the white wines of Campania but they are also in the neighboring region of Basilicata (Basili-ka-ta). A small wine-producing area bordering Campania on the west and Calabria on the south, Basilicata vineyards grow in arid volcanic soil on steep mountainous slopes such as Mount Vulture (Vol-touray), an extinct volcano.
PIPOLI Greco-Fiano Basilicata $14.
Blend is Greco 60%, Fiano 40%
ALC 12.5%
