For first time since 2005, French rider wins Tour de France stage on Bastille Day, France’s national holiday.
Tonight I’ll celebrate with France and drink Gigondas, robust red wine from Cotes du Rhone region in southern Rhone. Gigondas is great food wine and during my recent trip to Rhone Valley, accompanied many meals.
LA FONT DE NOTRE DAME 2012 is 80% Grenache (G), 10% Syrah (S) and 10% Mourvèdre (M), a typical representation of the GSM blend popular in Cotes du Rhone. You might find Gigondas on restaurant wine lists as it is half the price of its big brother, Chateauneuf du Pape.

Thanks Bob.
Hope that you are feeling better.
Tanya has been enjoying Whispering Angel as a very nice upgrade to White Zinfandel.
